How do I look?

The rain sets the worst tone for the day. This is one of the many days I wish I lived closer to school rather than driving for almost an hour to get there. You know what the worst part of rainy days are, figuring out what to wear. You don't want to dress like a bum since you'll fall asleep in your comfy clothes and you don't want to wear cute clothes because they'll get ruined by the downpour.

Here's a great article that I usually pull up on rainy days to help me decide what to wear.

Hope you guys have a great day despite the rain!

Shake Your Tambourine

Interning at a local radio station, Q100, has been one of the most gratifying experiences of my life! Although in the beginning I anticipated dreading the job a few weeks into the 3 am wake ups, it's become the highlight of my week! Today was no different and probably one of my favorite days!

My sister came home for the night simultaneously invading my room with all of her crap. We're really close so we spent the whole night giggling and joking while catching up on some primetime TV. I obviously didn't get much sleep and hit snooze more than I ever have before. Eventually I got up and made it to work on time, then waited for Melissa (one of the co-hosts) to arrive.

Intern Rich and I got all of our prep done super early so the show started off wonderfully! Then they started the show and things were pretty up and down. Jenn mentioned that I beat bert in the cook off yesterday (which i'm still gloating about), then laughed for the first hour. Then they called Johnathon Escobar, who's trival case has been recognized worldwide.

The room got in a heated debate as people became passionate about their stances on the issue. After 45 minutes the room calmed down and we were back on track. The rest of the show was a piece of cake for me since the Ebuzz's got cancelled so I just listened to them talk.

Then Bert decided to put me on air about my 21st birthday coming up on what I thought was this coming Monday, but is actually next Monday. Listeners gave me wonderful suggestions for places to go,  and things to do. Then Bert decided that it was time for me to prove myself by accepting the challenge of  calling his voicemail every, single, hour.

Those of you who know me know I'm a notorious drunk dialer/drunk texter, this might be a problem. I accepted his challenge but am extremley nervous to hear them all back later, on air. Regardless, it was a really fun show and I have never loved an internship this much (knock on wood). I can't wait for next week and the rest of this AMAZING SEMESTER!!!

Hope that everyone is having just as amazing of a week!

HAPPY FRIDAY BITCHES!

Shop, Lock, and Drop it

Exciting Day!

As you will learn to know, I'm an excessive shopper. I've never left a mall, plaza, or strip mall without purchasing clothes...not something I'm proud of, but hey that's life!

In leui of my illness, I'm spreading the love! Everytime I find special deals in stores, online, I'll post them in my "Shop, Lock, & Drop it" posts. If you have any suggestions or ideas email me and let me know!

I went to one of my favorite gifting stores this weekend,  Swoozie's, to buy a thank you present for a friend who has been letting me crash at her place. I went in and was obviously overwhelmed by the number of options!

One of the options was this ADORABLE bag! It comes in four adorable colors and FREE yes I said FREE embroidery. I ended getting a wine glass for my friend, BUT decided to pre buy the tote for some other friends. The sales clerk told me women have been buying them in bulk! If you're in a sorority, they're great for your littles or for families!

It's regularly $12.95 but everything in the store is 30% OFF! With the discount it come to $9.07 (+tax) and don't forget the FREE embroidery!!

Even if you don't decide to buy the bag, 30% OFF EVERYTHING ONLINE AND INSTORES!

Hope you enjoy the sale as much as I did!!!

Mind Penetration

What do you do when you think you know it all? Obviously, tell it to the world!

I started this blog to teach, learn, and share information with the blogging community. I'm not particularly skilled in any one craft but, I like to consider myself multi-talented. Don't think of me as being pretentious, just know that I am confident in myself.

My enthusiasm for life and my passions will (hopefully) bleed through these pages from fashion, beauty tips, shopping, entertainment, human interest, green tips, life, to love.

Simply stated, I'm going to help people as I help myself. Sometimes we don't need a life altering intervention to change our lives, we need to realize that by doing things that make us happy, we'll live fuller and enriched days.

That's all we can ask for...
